Slow, gentle medicine to last a lifetime - transforming primary care.
About me—
My name is Kelsey Barnett- but you can call me Dr. Kels, Dr Kelsey, Dr. B, Dr. Barnett, Kelsey, KB- whatever rings true for you.
I am a naturopathic doctor, explorer, listener, healer, sister, surfer, biker, herbalist, meal-maker, lover, and wanderer of life. My background is complex and variegated. My drive to care for fellow humans is fueled by an empathy gained from my own personal experiences- meandering through my own healing journey (though, this is continuously an ongoing process). I bring a sense of curiousity, connection, and safety to every patient interaction. It is special and rewarding to make room for someone to feel seen, heard, and valued.
I view my role as naturopathic physician as a partnership, collaborative and empowering.
I encourage my patients to: Show up as their authentic selves, with their unique trials and tribulations; Grant me the opportunity to support them through what they may think of as their “shadow side”, to ultimately see that they are not alone in the suffering of their human experience.
I enjoy serving as a guide for people anywhere along the vast spectrum of health, assisting them towards regaining their vitality and well-being. Whether it may be in a state of quite poor health (disclaimer: NOT emergency level care), or people who are generally quite healthy yet looking to optimize their lifestyle strategies to maintain their good health, it brings me joy to guide both ends of this spectrum. Ideally we create an environment (internal and external, all facets considered) favorable for longevity, together.
In my office, the patient is ultimately in the position of authority as we work together to strategize your health care needs and goals. I will only recommend and advise a plan that is within your capacity while still addressing your needs.
